El FRS Iberia inaugura la línea marítima Tarifa - Tánger en Julio del 2000 con el objetivo de satisfacer las necesidades en la oferta de travesías marítimas en el Estrecho de Gibraltar. Amplia la oferta con una nueva línea que además suponía la forma más rápida de cruzar el Estrecho de Gibraltar. Comenzaba la línea Tarifa 35 minutos Tánger, alcanzando un volumen de pasajeros tal que convirtío al Puerto de Tarifa en uno de los primeros de España en cuanto al trasnporte de pasajeros se refiere.
Durante estos años, FRS se ha situado en una posición de crecimiento y evolución constante, la cual alcanzó un grado muy importante durante el verano del 2008. Desde esta fecha, FRS empezó a ofrecer sus servicios en la línea Algeciras - Ceuta, con una travesía de Fast Ferry. Esta línea supone para la empresa un nuevo y apasionante reto, en el que el principal objetivo es obtener la satisfacción de los ceutís.
En Mayo de 2010, FRS también se incorporá a la línea Algeciras – Tanger MED, convirtiéndose en la única naviera que opera en el Estrecho de Gibraltar que está presente en todas sus rutas. (Tarifa-Tanger, Algeciras-Ceuta, Algeciras-Tanger MED y Gibraltar-Tanger MED). En ese mismo año, FRS comienza a desarrollar su división de Carga, la cual ha tenido un gran éxito y desde Diciembre de 2011 cuenta además con el buque RoPax Tanger Express, con capacidad para 60 unidades de carga y 700 pasajeros.
FRS Iberia pertenece a FRS Group con sede en Flensburgo (Alemania), la cual ha operado más de 5.4 millones de pasajeros en 2010, más de 1.3 millon de vehículos y cuenta con rutas en Alemania, Dinamarca y Omán entre otros, además de otras líneas de negocio en el sector naviero.

The FRS Iberia opened the maritime Tarifa - Tangiers in July 2000 in order to meet the needs in the supply of sea voyages in the Straits of Gibraltar. Wide supply with a new line that also involved the quickest way to cross the Strait of Gibraltar. Line began Tangier Tarifa 35 minutes, reaching a volume of passengers such that the port of Tarifa became one of the first in Spain in terms of passengers complimentary terms.
During these years, FRS has been placed in a position of constant growth and evolution, which reached a very large extent during the summer of 2008. Since then, FRS began offering its services in line Algeciras - Ceuta, a Fast Ferry crossing. This line is for the company an exciting new challenge, in which the main objective is to obtain satisfaction ceutís.
In May 2010, FRS also joined the line Algeciras - Tanger MED, becoming the only shipping company that operates in the Strait of Gibraltar which is present on all routes. (Tarifa-Tanger Algeciras-Ceuta Algeciras-Tanger and Gibraltar-Tanger MED MED). That same year, FRS begins to develop its cargo division, which has had great success and since December 2011 also has the Tanger RoPax ship Express, with 60 units of cargo and 700 passengers.
FRS Iberia FRS belongs to Group based in Flensburg (Germany), which has operated more than 5.4 million passengers in 2010, more than 1.3 million vehicles and has routes in Germany, Denmark and Oman among others, in addition to other lines business in the shipping industry.
